| Grab a coffee. Sit back, relax. I want to tell you a story. Gavin, Stacey, and the Birth of Boost Gavin was a published author and teacher who lived in Smalltown. He was happy living in Smalltown, but something made him very sad. There were kids in his class, and in other classrooms, that he realised could not get the individual attention they needed. It was hard for the teacher with 20+ kids to cater for all the individual needs. So Gavin began tutoring kids after school. Gavin became a popular tutor and tutored kids all over Smalltown. Gavin then began creating resources for the kids he tutored (Gavin didn't just want to photocopy other people's work, he wanted to create his own). Gavin made sure the resources he made were colourful and creative, for his aim was to inspire kids to want to learn. Gavin then began to notice marked differences with the kids he was tutoring. Then one day he met a lovely girl, Stacey, and they were married not long after. Stacey was studying Childhood Psychology and suggested to Gavin that they set up a home tutoring business where people could come to them to have their kids skilled up in the areas they were lacking. Gavin and Stacey decided to call their business, BOOST TUTORING , because it was all about giving kids a boost in their education. The idea proved a success. Word got around and it was not long before parents began turning up in great numbers wanting their children tutored. |
